August In addition to being a musician and singer, Anthony Alsina Jr. is also a songwriter and record producer. He is a member of the ‘Def Jam Recordings’ record label. He was born into a dysfunctional household, and both his father and stepfather were addicted to crack cocaine. His mother moved him to Houston, Texas, during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. After that, he lost his father to drug misuse.
