Kabita Singh was born on February 21, 1978, in Kolkata, India. She’s originally from Uttar Pradesh, but she’s a Bengali-Indian woman by birth. Kabita has completed her education and higher secondary education from ‘Gyan Bharti Balika Vidyalaya’ in Commerce Stream in Kolkata, India.
She is admitted to Calcutta University after completing her education, with B.Com (Honours) in Naihati, Kolkata, and completes her university from there. With her mother, Kabita always enjoyed cooking. But she couldn’t explore it anymore with a banking career and left it behind in the backburner.
After Kabita got married in 2009, she spent a couple of years continuously shuttling between India and the UK. She says she wasn’t very pleased with the Indian food available while in the UK, and so she began to follow recipes on YouTube. She had a child later and gave up her banking career in order to devote more time to him. Kabita had a lot of time on hand once her son began going to school and this is when she decided to indulge her passion for cooking.

Kabita Singh began her career as a liability desk officer in the Uttar Pradesh branch in India by getting a job at ICICI Bank and she worked for three years in that bank.
