Today I will tell you HOW TO CONTACT Munawar Zama.

The Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin was about to record his third straight century against an entire English squad when a nine-year-old Muslim kid from a middle-class household in Nalgonda, 100 kilometers from Hyderabad, sat transfixed to his transistor radio.

The radio broadcast for the first 15 minutes included cricket commentary in English, followed by an article in Hindi. The child grew restless as soon as the paper switched to English, even though he couldn’t comprehend a word of it. He waited excitedly for the Hindi commentary to hear how his idol Azharuddin was doing on the field.

The Anglophobic child resolved those short flashes of enthusiasm and restlessness: he would learn English as soon as he could. In August 2013, the boy, Munawar Zama, now the CEO of an English-language training and personality development institute, was awarded the “Indian Youth Icon Award 2013” for his contributions to improving the lives of thousands of students across the country. The ceremony took place in a posh New Delhi hotel.

He has effectively instructed not just kids but also blind instructors and stammerers with a propensity for stumbling. In the words of Ishwar Chand Singh, a 28-year-old MBA graduate from Siwan in Bihar who participated in Zama’s 40-day personality-development course in New Delhi, “I’ve had this stammering issue since I was a youngster.”

He said, “so many firms had turned me down for employment interviews because of my stammering.” I went to several physicians, but after attending [Zama’s] voice and accent training, I’ve seen a significant difference in myself,” Singh exclaims in an interview with Anadolu Agency. After earning his bachelor’s degree in pharmacology, Zama was given a government position as a pharmacist in a rural community, which he turned down because of his lack of experience.

His English instructor, Hammad Ahmad Alwi, who headed an institution named HOBZ, persuaded Zama’s family that pursuing a career in English would be a wise decision for the young man’s future. When Zama started his English teaching career, he took advantage of a free weekly workshop held by the Siyasat newspaper, where hundreds of students would show up every Sunday. The number of pupils increased every week.

He was introduced to Sirajuddin Quraishi, the president of Delhi’s renowned India Islamic Cultural Center, and the rest is history (IICC). “It drastically transformed my life after that,” Zama says in an interview with AA. In 2008, Zama started a 40-day “personality development workshop” held annually and hosted by the IICC.

The IICC’s Wadood Sajid, a seasoned journalist and advisor to the organization’s president, says, “Since 2008, at least 5000 individuals have been taught in our workshop, with at least 60% of them now working for global corporations.”

Aside from that, Zama has also volunteered for a 60-episode voice and accent training course for the leading television channel Zee Salaam, for which he was granted the Young Achievers Award in 2010. Zama has also worked as a voice and accent trainer for the central television station Zee Salaam.

In 2011, he was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Global Excellence Award. His efforts were recognized the following year when he received the World Human Rights Protection Association Award. – Inspiring and motivating After meeting Zama, the life of Syed Kazim, a blind teacher from a Hyderabad slum, was utterly transformed.

Zami taught the ABCs of English to a group of young pupils at the Babul Uloom Islamic institution while Kazim, a Hafiz, or Quran memorizer, sat on the floor. He sat up straight and listened intently to every word, ultimately gathering the bravery to inform Zama that he, too, could learn English.

“The only thing I understood about English was the letters,” Kazim told AA. I’ve always wanted to learn the language; however, deep down in my heart. “Even though it was for students, the training turned out to be a fantastic chance for me,” adds a giddy Kazim. A couple of months later, Zama followed Kazim to several schools and seminars where the blind instructor held the teachers’ attention.

An instance occurred when a charity trust awarded Kazim a monthly pension of 1000 rupees (about $15). On another occasion, he received a gift of 20,000 rupees (about $300) from an unknown donor. – Inspiring and uplifting Zama recounts a time when one of his pupils, a 25-year-old lady, was informed that she would be losing her eyesight shortly.

“I’m pleading with Allah to allow me to read the Quran… Just grant me the ability to recite the Quran. “During one of Zama’s training sessions, the young lady shared her thoughts. The girl was attending a training session when Zama approached her and offered Kazim, the blind instructor, to give a lecture. Kazim accepted the invitation. Her eyes welled up with tears as she listened to the blind instructor.

“I once prayed to Allah for the ability to see in order to recite the Quran. At this point, I have no objections to Allah making me blind if that is what He chooses. I am able to recite Quran, I am able to memorize Quran, “She says AA with a lot of enthusiasm.

What is it in me that prevents me from [learning English] in two months while a blind teacher from a slum manages to do so? She goes on to say Zama feels that the sort of positive attitude that he helps establish in his pupils gives them the confidence to believe that they can achieve anything, despite the daily difficulties.

AA is pleased with him because he says, “These types of things encouraged me; I can perform marvels via personality development programs.” – One-of-a-kind charitable organization As part of her work at Mukam, India’s biggest orphanage, where orphans from all around the country get free education, Zama has also trained youngsters there.

Since Haji Mon, a trustee of the orphanage, explains, “Zama invented new methods to educate and reach out to poor children, as none of them could communicate in English.” “Zama devised new means to teach and reach out to poor orphans,” Mon says. “We have seen a significant improvement in the children’s ability to communicate with one another.” Many people feel that Zama is assisting the poor in a novel manner rather than merely handing out cash to them.

Dr. Rafique, an advisor to the Shadaan Group, which operates five medical institutions in Pakistan, tells AA, “it is a one-of-a-kind manner of conducting philanthropy.” Zambia has been endowed with a God-given ability, which he skillfully uses to further the cause of linguistic empowerment, says the author. Moreover, according to the author, Zama’s labor is an act of economic empowerment.

Singh, the stammerer, is an excellent example of this. During Zama’s training course in 2011, he was approached by Hind Agro Industries Limited, India’s most prominent meat processing firm, and was offered a position. In the words of an emotional Singh, “Zama and the IICC believed in me at a time when the corporate world was rejecting me simply because of my stammering.” “Zama and the IICC were the first people to believe in me,” Singh says.
