Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT Ottawa Senators?
Ottawa Senators, a National Hockey League (NHL) franchise based in Ottawa that competes in the Eastern Conference (NHL). Previously, the Senators had only claimed one title in the Eastern Conference (2007).
To commemorate their founding year and a previous Ottawa-based hockey team that claimed 11 Stanley Cup titles between 1903 and 1927, the Senators made their NHL debut as an expansion franchise in 1992. Following a run of four straight last-place divisional finishes, the newest Senators team took over. It wasn’t until the 1996–97 season that Ottawa made its first trip to the playoffs, where it was eliminated by the Buffalo Sabres in the first round.
It was the Senators’ first postseason series win in franchise history when, after being ranked last in the Eastern Conference, they defeated the top-seeded New Jersey Devils in six games. Despite winning the Canadian Division in 1998–99, the Sabres knocked Ottawa out of the playoffs early on. Beginning with the 1998–99 season, the Senators won four division titles before going on to lose in the playoffs to a lower-seeded team over the next seven years.
The Senators earned their 10th consecutive postseason spot in 2006–07, thanks to a strong line featuring Alfredsson, left-wing Dany Heatley, and centre Jason Spezza. The Senators made their first trip to the Stanley Cup finals that season, where they fell to the Anaheim Ducks in five games after beating the Pittsburgh Penguins, New Jersey Devils, and Buffalo Sabres.
It ended in 2008-09 for Ottawa, but the Senators were back in the playoffs in 2009-10. After a few years with mediocre records and infrequent playoff appearances, the team never made it past the second round of the playoffs in the decade that began in 2010. Sens standout Erik Karlsson led Ottawa to the Eastern Conference finals in 2016-17, where they fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins in double overtime of game seven. However, the team’s rise was short-lived, as they won 16 fewer games and fell outside of the playoff picture in 2017–18.
Dominik Haek, a Czech ice hockey goaltender notable for his unconventional technique, was born on January 29, 1965, in Pardubice, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). No other goaltender in NHL history has won consecutive Hart Trophy honours as the league’s most valuable player back-to-back years (1997–98).
At the age of six, Haek moved to Pardubice and began playing ice hockey. Remarkably adaptable in goal, his technique included diving to the ground and splaying his arms and legs wide apart to block shots that most goaltenders would have been unable to save. From 1986 until 1990, he represented Czechoslovakia at the international level as goalkeeper of the year, winning the Czechoslovak title each year. In 1987, 1989, and 1990, he was named Czechoslovakian player of the year for his contributions to the game.
Even though Haek was drafted into the NHL in the 10th round in 1983, he didn’t leave Czechoslovakia until after the Velvet Revolution in 1989. He debuted in the NHL in 1990 with the Chicago Blackhawks, but he saw little action and was traded to the Buffalo Sabres two years later. After an injured goaltender forced him to fill in, he went on to record five shutouts in December 1993. By the end of the season, he was widely regarded as the top goaltender in the NHL, with a GAA of 1.95, the lowest in the league since 1973–74.
Over the next decade, Haek was consistently the best goaltender in the league in terms of save percentage and shutouts. He won the Vezina Trophy six times between 1994 and 2001 as the best NHL goaltender. In 1997 and 1998, he was the recipient of the Hart Award. During the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan, Hayek was the Czech Republic’s star goaltender, posting a GAA of 0.97. After joining the Detroit Red Wings in 2001, he helped them win the Stanley Cup in 2002.
