Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT TIMOTHY M. DOLAN.

On February 23, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI gave the position of Archbishop of New York to His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan. On April 15, 2009, he was formally consecrated as the Archbishop of New York. When Pope John Paul II appointed him to the position on June 25, 2002, he had been serving as the Archbishop of Milwaukee. In a ceremony held at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist on August 28, 2002, he was formally consecrated as Milwaukee’s 10th archbishop.

Archbishop Gabriel Montalvo, the Papal Nuncio to the United States, presided at the installation of Archbishop Timothy Dolan as Archbishop of New York. He was the first of five children to be born to Shirley Radcliffe Dolan and the late Robert Dolan, who predeceased him. He was born on February 6, 1950. In 1964, he enrolled at the St. Louis Preparatory Seminary South in Shrewsbury, Missouri, to begin his high school seminary career.

His education in theology and philosophy proceeded at Cardinal Glennon College, where he was awarded a Master of Arts degree in the subject. After that, he finished training to become a priest at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, where he also acquired a License in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas. On June 19, 1976, Cardinal Dolan was given the ordination that would allow him to begin his career as a priest. After that, he became an assistant priest at Immacolata Parish in Richmond Heights, Missouri.

He remained until 1979 when he attended the Catholic University of America to pursue a doctorate in American Church History. In the year leading up to the completion of his degree, he conducted a study on the late Archbishop Edwin O’Hara, one of the individuals who established the Catholic Biblical Society. The Archbishop’s Ph.D. dissertation focused on the life and ministry of Archbishop O’Hara. The Archbishop wrote the dissertation.

After moving back to St. Louis, Cardinal Dolan spent the years 1983 to 1987 working in parish ministry. During this time, he also acted as the liaison for the late Archbishop John L. May in reorganizing the college and theology programs offered by the archdiocesan seminary system. He also served as director of Spiritual Formation and professor of Church History. Cardinal Dolan’s appointment as secretary to the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C., began in 1987 and lasted five years. In addition to that, he taught theology as an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University.

His appointment as rector of the Pontifical North American College in Rome came in 1994, and he remained in that role until 2001. While in Rome, he also held positions as a faculty member in the Department of Ecumenical Theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas and as a visiting professor of Church History at the Pontifical Gregorian University. Both of these institutions are affiliated with the Catholic Church. The Cardinal’s efforts in the field of seminary education have significantly impacted the lives and ministries of many priests who have been ordained in the new century.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his priestly ordination, which occurred on June 19, 2001, the then-Fr. Dolan was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of St. Louis by Pope John Paul II. The new Bishop Dolan selected the declaration of faith made by St. Peter as the episcopal motto for his diocese. Ad Quem Ibimus translates to “Lord, to Whom Will We Go?” (Jn 6:68).

Cardinal Dolan is now a member of the Board of Trustees of The Catholic University of America and has previously served as the chairman of Catholic Relief Services. In addition to that, he has a seat on the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of New Evangelization. In November 2013, Cardinal Dolan served as president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for three years since the position was appointed. He served as the head of the Bishops’ Committee for Pro-Life initiatives until the end of his mandate.

Timothy Dolan was formally nominated for a position in the College of Cardinals on January 6, 2012, when His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI announced. In March 2013, in the aftermath of Pope Benedict XVI’s resignation, Cardinal Dolan took part in the conclave that ultimately resulted in the election of Pope Francis.

Under Dolan’s guidance, the Pontifical Irish College in Rome went through a comprehensive reorganization of its processes and procedures during the academic years 2011 and 2012. His report was very critical of the institution, leading to the departure of four Irish staff and the termination of three. The Holy See presented copies of the visitation report to the four archbishops who serve in Ireland: Cardinal Seán Brady, who serves as Archbishop of Armagh; Diarmuid Martin, who serves as Archbishop of Dublin; Michael Neary, who serves as Archbishop of Tuam; and Dermot Clifford, who serves as Archbishop of Cashel.

The pre-written response said, “a significant prejudice appears to have colored the visitation, and from the outset, it led to the severe tone and content of the report.” According to the survey findings, a “worryingly considerable” number of seminarians had a negative view of the atmosphere of the family. It went on to note that even though students favored an intense concentration on Rome, tradition, the magisterium, dedication, and vocal orthodoxy among teachers, the reality was quite the contrary.

It was proposed that we make some changes to the staff members. According to the reports made by students and the apostolic visitor, an “anti-ecclesial bias” was also seen in theological school. On December 29, 2011, Dolan was appointed to the Pontifical Council for Social Media for five years, and he is now eligible for reappointment to the council. From the 21st of April 2011, the day he was formally appointed to the role, he has served as a member of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches.

Dolan went public with his disapproval of the Obama administration’s mandate that covered the cost of birth control and other methods of birth control. During the time that the Obama administration was in the process of revising the rule that required religious organizations to provide abortifacient drugs and contraception insurance coverage to their employees, Cardinal Dolan gave a televised interview to CBS in which he voiced his opposition to what he perceived to be an interference on the part of the government that disregarded the right to religious conscience and religious freedom.

On January 24, 2012, while on a holy pilgrimage in Israel and the West Bank, Dolan visited Fouad Twal, who served at the time as the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. On November 30, 2013, Pope Francis gave Dolan the responsibility of doing in the Congregation for Catholic Education.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s bones are now interred in St. Patrick’s Cathedral. On September 3, 2014, Cardinal Timothy Dolan denied the requests of the Diocese of Peoria to move Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s remains to the cathedral of their diocese. This rekindled the historical controversy over Sheen’s body and effectively halted the process of canonizing Sheen as a saint. On November 17, 2016, Justice Arlene Bluth of the New York State Supreme Court ordered the transfer of Sheen’s remains from St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York to St. Mary’s Cathedral in Illinois.

On November 2, 2015, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) presented Dolan with the Isaiah Award for Outstanding Interreligious Leadership in recognition of “his steady dedication and continuous devotion to the dialogue between our different religions.” This honor was bestowed upon Dolan by recognizing “his steady dedication and continuous devotion to the dialogue between our different religions.”

On January 20, 2017, Dolan offered the opening prayer with President Trump’s inauguration. The prayer of King Solomon, which may be found in the Book of Wisdom, served as the foundation for his invocation. 2015 was the year when Dolan traveled to Ireland to see the Knock Shrine. Tim Curry, the youngest witness to the Knock apparition, was reinterred on May 13, 2017, in the St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral cemetery in Lower Manhattan. A requiem service was given in his honor by the priest. Tim was the youngest witness to the Knock apparition. In Long Island, Curry had been laid to rest in a cemetery with no headstone or marker.
