Hello Friends… Today I am here to tell you about the List of Scheduled Caste Surnames used in India.
The Scheduled Caste (SC) is an officially designated group of people in India. The Scheduled Castes make up about 16.6 percent of the population of India (according to the 2011 census). In its First Schedule, the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 lists 1,108 castes in 28 states.
Since the independence of India, Scheduled Castes have been granted Reservation status, ensuring political representation. The Constitution sets out the general principles of positive discrimination against SCs.
In India, Scheduled Caste is commonly referred to as SC. In the last half-century or earlier, different communities and caste have begun to use the same surnames. The people of Scheduled Caste and the community live in different parts of India. They have reservations about jobs in the state government and jobs in the central government. They also have reservations in educational institutions and colleges in accordance with the law.
