Shah Rukh Khan Biography:

Shahrukh Khan was born in New Delhi on 2 November 1965. When he was born, his maternal grandma named Abdul Rehman, but his father modified it to Shah Rukh. He did his schooling at the St. Columba School in Delhi, where he used to play cricket as a wicket-keeper.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Hansraj College, University of Delhi. He is also a post-graduate in Mass Communications (Filmmaking) from the Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi. He had been a talented student during his school days and even received the award ‘Sword of Honor’ in his school.

Family, Caste & Wife:

Shahrukh comes from an Islamic middle-class Indian family in New Delhi. His father, Late Taj Mohammad Khan, was a businessman and had a transport company, and his mother, Late Lateef Fatima, was a prosecutor and a social worker. His parents had a love marriage, and their love story starts at the hospital when his father gave his blood to his wounded mother. He’s got one older sister named Shahnaz Lalarukh. They were living in a rental apartment in Delhi.

On October 25, 1991, he was married to his college girlfriend, Gauri Chibber, who is now an Indian movie producer and architect. He has two sons—Aryan Khan, AbRam Khan, and one daughter—Suhan Khan.


Career:

Shah Rukh Khan made a small screen debut with the ‘Fauji’ series in 1989.

He then appeared in several TV series, such as ‘Umeed,’ ‘Wagle Ki Duniya,’ and ‘Mahan Karz.’ He also collaborated in the English-language telefilm ‘In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones.’ His Indian film industry debut was with the film ‘Deewana’ in 1992, and then he made films like ‘Chamatkar,’ ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman,’ ‘Maya Memsaab,’ ‘King Uncle,’ ‘Baazigar,’ ‘Darr,’ and also a cameo in ‘Pehla Nasha.’

In 1994, he started working in the movie ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ on a salary of only 25,000 and even sold his tickets to the Mumbai Theater’s booking window. In 1995, his film “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge” proved to be a blockbuster in theatres all over the country.

Controversies:

1. In 2001, he had to pay a fine of 12,627 on the accusation that he had not paid the license fee, and on the illegal use of a plot of land which had been consigned to his mother on an annual license fee.

2. In 2008, Shahrukh and Indian film actor Salman Khan had a reason and a fight at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party.

3. In 2012, he again became a controversial character by slapping Shirish Kunder (Farah Khan’s husband) at a party.

4. He was criticized for disrespecting a security guard during an IPL match at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai and was also barred from entering the stadium.


5. In 2016, he had to face accusations by officials that he had violated the heritage rules for building a ramp outside his bungalow, which was later demolished by BMC officials.
